A friend is more than valuable, they’re there in times of distress and in joyous times. They don’t even have to be human to provide a shoulder to cry on to join in a dance of celebration. Some people like to say they don’t need anyone, however that is not plausible since communication and companionship are two needs we can’t do without and still maintain our health and sanity. If one has friends who live some distance away it is important to stay in touch and to do so regularly, especially if one is unable to visit them to recharge the batteries of the friendship. I am going to visit friends and though I may not see the one above (the last time I saw him he was off Waterlemon Cay in Sir Francis Drake Channel, he travels a lot) I’m sure I’ll see many others and make a new friend or two. So since I’m going where there is very little internet access I’ll be leaving my blogging friends behind for a couple of weeks or so. I hope you’ll enjoy yourselves as much I know I’ll enjoy my time away.
