It makes a difference how comfortably one can operate and in how many places. Versatility allows for many more choices and for more all around enjoyment. Some avenues of versatility comprises a willingness to try new things and a willingness to listen to new ideas. If you like trying and listening, then learning is not far behind; and the more you’re able to learn, the more versatile you can become. Because you choose to allow yourself more possibilities than many people do does not mean that you know less than others of what you’ve tried, since just the act of choosing allows you to learn more. Choosing to step out of the mold that you’ve set for yourself or that you’ve let others set for you is not a negative action, though it may seem that way both to you and to those others at times. Assuming a negative attitude formulated because something has changed is very common, but is almost always the wrong assumption to make. More things have positive outcomes with a positive attitude than with a negative one. In life two negatives do not elicit a positive answer, though it seems people won’t stop trying to make that equation work. Versatility, as well as being a positive and enjoyable direction to go, gives you many alternatives when obstacles block your original path, when you’ve reached the end of some rope or other, and when you want to explore and expand your horizons. Why not expand your horizons?
